Hotel Escondido is a wonderful new little property in the relatively untouched locale of Oaxaca, Mexico. With the appearance of a neutral hued adobe hut comes a lovely interior that’s perfect parts soft and inviting, while still remaining contemporary and indigenous at its core.
Grupo Habita has a laundry list of hospitality projects they’ve been involved with, and this space is no different. The sunken pools run parallel to the ocean with yards of wooden deck and sleek furniture overlooking the scenic landscape. The cliffside areas of this perfect setting allow for some hidden retreats, but the design elements are some creative combinations that we might even try to re-create in our own homes. Painted patterns on the wood floors anchor the bed, minty palettes mix with a vibrant orange, and rustic touches are seen everywhere.
